The ATU story continues as the Anti-Terrorism Unit tracks down the Russian Syndicate which smuggled chemical weapons into the US for sale to the Crimson Jihad. Working with local law enforcement personnel, ATU's pursuit of the Russian Syndicate uncovers a grim conspiracy and a secret army funded by crimelords and a cabal of wealthy European industrialists.

TacOps event will be held at the CSENTRI tactical training facility in Orlando, Florida. This event will be held in the south annex, an 80,000 square foot CQB complex of rooms, halls and stairs. Future TacOps events, classes and competitions will utilize other areas and assets at the CSENTRI facility as well as other locations in Florida.

Standard MGP/FA rules are in effect. A full face-mask, shemagh or sports mouth-guard is STRONGLY encouraged for this event due to CQB layout and potential of accidental engagements within bang-out range.

S.O. Tech Symbology Patches

These patches are great for identifying yourself, and your gear, especially if you are on a team.
Apply to hook-and-loop panels on uniforms, mission bags, or thread a piece of paracord through the tag to hang or attach them anywhere. In black or coyote.

S.O.TECH symbology includes commander, breacher, medic, police officer, EOD, syops/negotiator and many other symbols applicable to military and law enforcement scenarios. In addition to the mission patches, you can also find these symbols being used in the Tactical Mission Planning Set, on t-shirts, and baseball caps. For more info, feel free to contact sales@darkthreads.com. We would love to hear from you!

TRU XTREME Combat Shirt and Vest

In designing the TRU XTREME line, the designers considered the issue of department dress code. The combat shirts are great for wearing under a vest or plate carrier, but when you take the vest off, you are considered "out of uniform." That's why they designed a separate vest to layer on top of the combat shirt, essentially making it look like a complete TRU shirt. Check it out:

TRU XTREME Combat Shirt

Some of the new features include a zippered collar, and it also has that tri-fold pouch on the sleeve, like the TRU XTREME Shirt. The pouch attaches to MOLLE on either sleeve.

The vest does well all on its own too, as a tactical vest that you can layer over any shirt.

Please check them out in our store! Thanks.

Pants N'@: TRU XTREME pants

More TRU XTREME goodness!

First, remember the Regular TRU pant:

Still a great design, but how do you improve on that?

They redesigned the pockets, added those cut resistant knee patches, and notice the new feature on the bottom - they have a 1" clean finished hem on the outside, but inside is an elastic and button that allow you to blouse the pant leg if that's how you roll. A lot of thought was put into this TRU XTREME line. Check out the Spec Sheet for more details, and please visit the product page in our store! Thanks.

Time for an Upgrade?

Firstly, before I get into that - BIG FAT UPDATE - check out our new front page - http://www.darkthreads.com/ - made a few changes.

Plus, just added:

Tru-Spec TRU XTREME full line. If you are ready to upgrade your old TRUs, this line offers even more features and durability than the regular TRU. Let's start with the shirt.

Regular TRU shirt:

The most outstanding differences being: new front pockets designed with bellows so they expand, cut resistant treatment on the elbow patches, and a cool tri-fold pouch that MOLLEs onto the sleeve - has a clear plastic window for keeping ID, reference cards, etc. Link to Spec Sheet - for more details.

Available in black, khaki, navy, od, and MultiCam. Please check it out in our store! Thanks.

SHOT Show: Warrior Appreciation Night

It was our great honor and privilege to be able to rub elbows with some extraordinary people last week at the SHOT Show in Las Vegas, NV. For example, we met and spoke with Jon R. Cavaiani - retired United States Army soldier and a recipient of the United States military's highest decoration—the Medal of Honor—for his actions in the Vietnam War.
He was one of several celebrity guests at an industry networking party hosted by AIS, and I got such a warm and gracious feeling from him that I won't forget the experience.

Stevan Seagal was also there:

And, we had a nice long chat with one of the actors who appeared in the AMC TV series, "The Walking Dead," and who is also a shooting sports enthusiast.

We met so many other interesting people, and I'm terrible with names, but let's just say that it was a pleasure meeting and chatting with folks from our industry and those who serve our country.
